Lucy Thames
Lucy (she/they) is FarmSTAND’s Worker Justice Organizer, supporting worker communities and organizers in building capacity, connecting to legal advocacy, and telling their stories as we work towards a more just food system together. Lucy brings several years of experience in direct outreach and organizing alongside migrant and immigrant worker communities, especially farmworkers and meat processing workers.
Before joining FarmSTAND, Lucy was the Outreach Project Manager at Centro de los Derechos del Migrante and the Coordinator of the North Carolina Farmworker Advocacy Network. They hold a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Specialization in International Migration from El Colegio de la Frontera Norte. In her free time, Lucy enjoys biking around DC with their partner, taking silly photos of their 2 cats, and writing novels.
